Does anyone here read their contract before they sign it?
Some don't even know that they signed an employment contract it seems.Magoo1968 Thanks this. -
It's like the "I agree" tab for the terms of use/service we all click without reading on every app we use and website we join. Then we're all upset when we find out some website sell our information. We agreed to it.MartinFromBC Thanks this.

I would never sign an employment contract without reading it, and getting clarification on anything that I didn't understand.
Heck hire a lawyer to explain it to you if needed.
Much better to spend a few hundred bucks, than get yourself into a bad situation.
I literally have my lawyer read over contracts regularly for me, between a potential customer, and myself.
We have also altered many contracts, so they are not so lopsided in their terms.
Lawyers are darn cheap, compared to making a mistake.
When I hand a new hire an employment contract to read over, I tell them to read it all, and if they don't understand parts of it, to consult a lawyer of their choice, for clarification.
In fact where they sign it says they understand and agree.
Then I have 3 people besides me witness their signature, and sign it they did witness me asking them if they read it, understand, and agree to the terms, before signing.
