I take it you don't know from experience...Werner is opposite. They give rookies brand new Petercars and experienced drivers the junk...

congrats on your completing all the difficult training. My recommendation would be for you to suck it up for a year and then you can be in a better postion to call the shots. This is assuming you keep a clean driving record. You wouldn't be home much the first year anyhow, if you run cross country. After a year you will have many options. One I recommend is Heartland Express, you can run SE regional with them out of Jville. They have alot of drivers living in central Florida.

Yup! Kissimmee stop before that. I will switch buses in Orlando after 50 min layover.

The app is free. I am not sure how much data it uses (I have unlimited on t-mobile). It is not phone-specific, my phone has Android. I am sure there is a version for the iPhone too. And yes, it's a great tool to let your wife know where you are. Just be careful when using it when you go.. off-route let's say :)

Good to know man! Thanks for the precious advice! Is it that bad if I don't stay with them for a year? I mean, is it much different than if I stay 6 months and move to something better?

I wouldn't send a new truck back :) is there a logic behind this? I am wondering myself why would anyone give me $200, 000 worth of equipment right out of school....

what i mean is u will need one year exp and a clean record to get the better paying jobs. Also jumping from job to job does not look good on the resume.

usually low paying companies will lure drivers in with "cadilac trucks".

tonakis, btw, I remember my bus ride in 1977 from baton rouge La. to Ft Wayne In. for orientation and training with North American Van Lines. How I wish I had kept the bus ticket and taken photos of that time to look back on now 36 years later. I don't know if you are a collector or nostalgic, but perhaps think of savouring and recording the moment?
