I don't know. It's longer then the last truck so boss wouldn't habe to buy permits for 60 foot loads..All our reefer trucks are short. All our flatbed trucks get longer then what we had. As they get traded in..

I delivered some prefab walls a couple of years ago. I was pulling a 53' triaxle with a 2001 Western Star 4964. I was told at least 5 times that the truss guy just backed right up the driveway. Then they went further to say he just slid the axles forward.....First.. My axles do not move and they are all the way at the back of the trailer. Second My trailer is 5' longer than his. Third... He was driving a daycab with a 240" or less wheelbase, I am over 280. After 5 tries to get up there I told them I was done and they would just have to move the crane.

I could have gotten it there but there was just not enough room to get the nose of the truck around with all the trees.

I think this thread emphasis an important lesson in truck driving. You must know when to stop. You should know the limitations of your equipment. Cutting a 100 yards off the forklift drivers run is not worth messing up your truck or their property.

I had a wine wholesaler in LA insist that other trucks backed in to their dock all the time. Turned out those were day cabs with 40' containers, not so easy with a 48' spread axle curtain van behind a long truck. I had the whole street blocked for about 10 minutes.
Somebody taught them about curtain vans and now they side load us out back, which is awesome because you never have to wait for the dock..

Ran into the, "trucks come in & out of here all the time", crap a few times. I nicely tell them, I know my truck, I know my capabilities & I know I'm not going to tear up my truck for you.

My truck is 310" wheelbase, my big RGN is 31' in the well. With just the truck & trailer I am 84' long, with the stinger I am 102' long.

I don't refuse to do something just to be ornery, I might try it just to prove them wrong, but I won't do it if It means tearing something up.

Kinda like when I had my big trl. Get to the crane company's yard. Well drop your neck and jeep and make this right turn, then back into the bay... Nope not going to happen I tell them.
Well why not.. Well I got 150k on the deck.. You want me to throw another 60k on my trl. axles.. That makes 120k there and then another 60 on my trk. axles and short neck it around a turn Not happening.. They called the company I was leased to.. Heck I offered to let them use my phone.. Long story short, they unlded in the lot and backed one of their 4 axle trls. under it.. Watched the trl. go right to the ground.....
