It's complicated becoming an owner-operator and expensive for startup. You will also be required to join a drug consortium for random drug tests.
Since you have the money to buy a truck, use that money for a 160 hr. CDL school. If you don't want that, then keep the cash in the bank and attend a trucking company sponsored school, drive for a couple of years, then consider buying a truck.
