You should plan low , 120k miles for your first year might be more realistic . 125k x .31= $37,200 . Add in some stop pay and other misc pay you might make 45k.

There will be slow weeks, holidays and the almighty home time.........

Don't fall on to the any pay. Once you catch on fight for what you are worth. One way to keep our pay stronger.

Any driver that can maintain 65 mph for 10 hours, I would love to meet. Never have to wait at scales, 0-60 in a flash, nice dream. If you get 550 a day, count your blessings.

I would recommend getting all your endorsements, passport and twic card. Most of the time hazmat tanks and flatbed/ oversize would be your best bet to make the most money.

you won't get 700 miles a day, but lets say you did.. how long will your HOS last? when will you take a restart. what about a truck with a governed speed? how fast do think or would you like to go? do you think it's all open roads with no one else on the high way? what about those small towns with speed limits of 25 to 50 mph, school zones, stop lights, stop signs, traffic, construction, hiills and weight? down time for repairs in the shop or en route? waiting on the next load for 33.5 hrs? hunting down empty's, live loads and unloads, a drop and hook to a trailer the previous driver didn't bother to repair - change at the drop of a hat?

.31 for a new driver might be a bit high to start., as mentioned, it depends on who employs you. best of luck to ya

You're from Houston and you doubt 65 mph 10 hours a day , 550 mile days ? Our drivers do it all the time - drop and hook between KY and Texas City . Have similar loads from KY to PA and VA .

I'm surprised nobody brought up the fact that coast to coast would be team at a lower rate . How many newbies run coast to coast anyway ? How many teams get even 5,000 miles a week ?
