Hello everyone, I need some advice. What all do you make by experience as a team! My husband has 4 years of experience and I have 3 years of experience. We make .58CPM and I honestly feel like we could do better. Is that average pay for a team? If we hit 4,000 miles we make .64CPM. I will tell you though, with my company we never hit 4,000 miles and I honestly feel like it's set up like that on purpose. I've said something time and time again about our miles and it's getting to the point where it is frustrating. If we don't get our miles, I think we are going to have to leave. I hate to leave our company we are with but...we have to make money as well. You can give me some other companies to look into as well. We live in NC.

58 cpm is pretty good for teams, 64 cpm is even better, but 4000 miles for a team is a little on low side to me. If I were running teams, I'd like to see closer to 6000 miles, no less than 5000. Are you running coast to coast? Where are your running lanes? @Chinatown is the man with the plan
John E. Thanks this. -
Jees I sometimes get 4000 miles a week running solo, 2 weeks ago I got nearly 4300.... I average about 3700 a week. I cant imagine why a team isnt running at least 6000 or 7000 a week. Just plain stupid on the companies part.
John E., Accidental Trucker, pavrom and 3 others Thank this. -
We don't run Coast to Coast. We have done reefer in the past but don't like it that well. We run dry van. We work for a small company that doesn't run out west much. We do have loads that go that way but they are picked up on Monday and deliver Friday, no early delivery. Pay cuts off Saturday so we only get paid for 2900 miles. We normally run Texas and back here lately but in general our company runs the East side and some mid west.

It seems like your company is built for solos, and your load planners need some tutorials....I'd definitely make a change.
Midwest Trucker and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
North Carolina is loaded with companies set up for teams.
Do you and husband have endorsements? -
Yeah.. not many teams run here.bryan21384 Thanks this.

Here's your thread from a year ago; any endorsements yet? The endorsements are the key to the big bucks.
Z Transportation OR USA Truckscott180 and slow.rider Thank this. -
Tutorials... Hell my 12 year old daughter could load plan better than what these folks have been experiencing, and I'm not sure she could point to a specific state on a map (aside from our home state) if asked to.bryan21384 and Chinatown Thank this.

I have looked around, I know Cargo Transporters is here, Cooke Carolina Southern also a place called Mountain River? I think that is the name but I really want something that is dedicated or just runs Texas and back. I honestly don't like running East to West. No endorsements. Thought about trying to do doubles and hazmat, I know that could up our pay as well. Do you know any companies that team that do Texas and back?
