You need to be doing a California or Pacific Northwest turn every week or get on the "Plasma Account" with FFE. @Jenn72 can tell you about that. FFE has a terminal in North Carolina.

All I can do is give you some team companies that run west.
One driver that posts on here runs teams with FFE on the plasma account and he and his team mate each make over 90K per year. The company is headquartered in Texas, but runs all over the place.

Id start asking for them to find you runs to CA or the PNW... And I'd seriously consider switching to Reefer if your company offers it. Yeah the wait time may suck at times but with coast to coast runs the miles would make up for that.

 

I’m in the Midwest but 70 cpm for OTR teams is pretty standard. Some even 72.

Id say you definitely can do better especially if you both have haz endorsements. A team doing 4000 miles per week is a total waste. I have a solo that hits that sometimes.

Edit: I read the rest of your replies. It sounds like you guys aren’t ready to make any changes. No endorsements and only to Texas? LOL. I don’t think you realize why teams are a thing. Teams have a purpose, not just because two drivers are married to one another.
