Right now everything is inconsistent...some companies more than others.

The problem is being paid cpm and running shorter regional hauls of around 300mi. That's a half day run. You're company is making $900-1100 on average for those runs and you're getting short changed. They make more $ and in turn they can say that you should be thankful to have a job right now.

I’m from the Pittsburgh side of the state. For local we got Ward Trucking for P&D. I’ve seen them advertising for $18/hour and work 40 hours. Same with UPS. On the tanker side there’s a company paying fuel tankers $25 hour to deliver to sheetz. That’s the only jobs I see that pays even remotely what I make OTR or would even consider. I’ve even seen some construction delivery jobs or steel haul that only pay $14. It makes me laugh, but no in the ha ha way. It’s sad, really.

Why live in a truck for the money you mentioned above? Unless you are homeless - then that would make sense I guess.

Dude your wasting your time. You can do better. I’m around $1400 +/- for bout 2500 miles. Most I stay out is overnight 2 times. And that’s Monday to Friday home every full 2 day weekend.[/QUOTE]
