Speaking of Idaho. I actually saw a ad the other day. It was a OTR job pulling that Idaho potato trailer.Chinatown Thanks this.

That’s what I do. 3 days off every 5 weeks. Also 1 week of vacation every 3 months. Works well if the company that you work for isn’t greedy.
-
How about it?
-
3 days for 5 wks? Reminds me to stay where I'm at. No minimum or maximum days.
-
That’s a personal choice. Company minimum is 3 weeks on the roads. 5 days at home. If I do it my way I qualify for 2cpm quarterly bonus which puts me at 76cpm.
Every company has a minimum. Give it a try and you’ll be looking for a job in no time. -

Many drivers in GLR got home every week or two. I would get back on the road for a few days and I would get a message asking about my next home time and I would tell them that it was several weeks away so no idea of dates yet.
As someone said, personal choice. I could have taken home time more often being a regional driver, but I got used to OTR for so many years and it became the routine that I liked.
Then again, my situation was very different than most drivers.OlegMel Thanks this. -

I'm doing 4 days off for every 63 days spent out.wulfman75 Thanks this.
