I give props to the otr crowd idk how you put up with everything. Im away from home 2-3 weeks at a time but im in the same hotel every day. I get 40 a day per diem and usually spend that plus some. I can do lots of other things cheap, cant do cheap food.

I won't ever go otr. My dads been driving since 1981 and has been home pretty much everyday. When the oilfield gets real slow again im jumping ship back to food service or try and get that sweet
Ltl gig and one day get the holy grail of driving jobs... ...........day time linehaul at a union barn

I usually live on my $100 cash advance each week and bank everything else.
When your hungry and you make a fuel stop, your going to buy some food.
A bad week where you have to pay out for scale tickets or wiper blades etc can screw up your budget.
You'll receive reimbursement, but getting stuck,on the road with minimal cash sucks.
