IDK, maybe because I was afraid they would try to weasel their way out of it, and I was right, they tried to blame the 4 wheeler for what was their fault.

Striker did the right thing, IMO.

    I would do the same.

    Stick around and truth out.

    That's the RIGHT ticket.

Never....to give you the short answer...whether your career spans 6 months or 60 years you never learn it all . When that day arrives please do us all a big favor and retire/quit/move on etc. With each and every single turn of the wheel you are constantly learning.....

I'm new to trucking but have been an equipment operator for many years. This was the same advice I was given when I started that by a operator that was about to retire with 50 some years in. IMO no truer words can be said

Yep , My uncle taught me in the mid-60's as teen. He had a dairy farm in Southwest Va. and I spent summers there helping out. He had an old Mack single-screw with a tag axle , and a 40 ft. milk tank. I've never had another type of job my entire life , except for the time spent in the Army trucking is all I've ever done. He told me if I wanted to be a successful driver , to always respect the equipment and it's limits , along with the road type/conditions , plus my own common sense and with a little luck I'd have a decent career....That advice served me well for over 30 years with the same company and gifted me with a accident free 3 million + mile career.

In most cases, as soon as trainer asks for more money, that's when the trainee becomes the trainer. With some of the bigger companies being self insured, all they want is a body in the seat. After a time, most people realize that they do not want to live in a truck.
