Central Refrig is owned by Swift,,I'd say you'd get the same attention Swift gives,,

If Roehl has a school,, go there

Also,,if you can find a decent school near your location,,go to it,, then give EPES transportation a call, they train new grads and you'll be home every week,,pay is alot better also,,equipment is great and safe.

    I drive for EPES

Epes does not have a CDL school. In this thread I'm only interested in the companies that sponsor you through their school, as that is the route I will be taking.

Been working for crengland for almost two years. Do not go to this company if your life depends on it. Swift, Central and Prime are slightly better than Crengland, but only slightly not enough to make a difference. You should stay away form them as well.

The above schools I mentioned are the worst CDL mill schools out there. They all send you into a class for a few days where you memorize the answers to the written cdl test. Take the written test, then learn to shift for a few days, learn to do a vehicle inspection by memorization so you can pass the other two parts of the cdl training and then send you out as a partner for zilch pay for as long as they can con you into or get away with, then spit you out in the real world with basically zero training.

With crengland, a person who never sat in the seat of a truck can get a cdl in 3 weeks, then drive as a student driver with a phaseI trainer who only has to have 6 months driving experience there whole life to become one. Then drive for three weeks with a phaseII trainer who only needs 6 weeks driving experience to be a phase II trainer. After that they will force you lease or not hire you. As soon as you lease a truck you can immediately take on a phaseII student as there trianer. Then as a driver with only 6 weeks experience driving your whole life who trains other drivers, start the circle of the blind leading the blind all over again.

I drive for them and so am in there yards a lot, talking to othere drivers as well as out on the road. I also talk to as many drivers from other companys as possible. I can tell you for a fact that of all the big cdl mills crengland is the worst of the very worst.

Do not lease a truck form any company regardless of how much the recruiters lie to you. Leasing a truck is the biggest rip off scam out there, and it doesnt matter who. Do not lease a truck from anyone or you will regret it.
