Ya I think one of the bigger things I am going to look at is how the sleeping works while training. I doubt I am gonna be a fan of trying to sleep in a moving truck that just doesn't really appeal to me.
-
Its not that hard, you get uste to it. Not that bad, depending on the road.
mtnMoma Thanks this. -
You aren't going to be doing a lot of actual teaming. Most of the time you will drive and you guys will take a 10. Maybe half way through or something you will do some teaming.
Bring some benadryl. Take 4 tabs 15 minutes before you climb back in the sleeper and you will do just fine. Maybe a set of earplugs will help too.
I think you are stressing to much about the training. You will end up having a blast and it will go by so quickly you will wish for more.

Yea, and that is entirely way to long. -
""Bring some benadryl. Take 4 tabs 15 minutes before you climb back in the sleeper and you will do just fine. Maybe a set of earplugs will help too"".
I don't think that is wise, way to much. One tab is OK. Don't want anyone OD'ing. -
Benadryl is NOT allowed on the truck... Just FYI

Not anymore, they lowered it. You can have the full 30,000 miles in 6 weeks. I just went through the ENTIRE program. I know how it works -
I haven't done training yet, but I also think the training at Roehl is a little short. It's great for drivers who want to go solo quick but how much can you really learn in two weeks? I would think three to four weeks with a trainer is pushing the envelope, let alone two weeks or less.

We go by miles. The total miles the truck runs. You run as a true team after your trainer feels safe sleeping behind you.

The answers you are getting here are all over the place because you never stated if you are new out of school with a CDL or are you looking for a company that will train you.
Every company has some kind of training even if you have a CDL...some days, some weeks.
If you are looking to be trained by a company and recieve the CDL through them then yes most are 6 weeks OTR with a trainer.
Do yourself a favor and Google Trucking companies training...etc
there is only a handful that have a school. The rest require you to have a CDL first.Look them up and call them.
I know I am a noob...as they call it but if you need help just PM me I have notes on them all.
Just checked my notes...even though I knew the answer and it pains me to say that Injun is correct....again...30,000..team miles...about 3 months for Prime.
Those numbers were straight from Prime to me in an email around 1 month ago.
