out with my trainer

yeah i am so not worried about it anymore. I love it. I drove all day today. Went from Plano to columbus to a menards. They were dick heads but we got out faster than they made us think we would. Plano doesnt know how to load stuff. One of the skids had heavy stuff on top of light things so it fell over probably when we slid the tandems. Then the menards told us we had to stack it or wait 2 hours so they could find someone to do it. so we stacked it and left it in the middle of their roadway back by the loading docks. Then we got the call for a beer run. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. Butch says i am doing very good for only a couple days on the road. Even with me not driving the whole time i am already over 1000 miles and i have only driven a total of 2 days. i would have had more if yesterday wouldnt have been a crap day. but oh well. We drove from columbus to trenton and picked up our keystone light to be delivered in Wisconsin on monday. Butch let me run home for the night to do some laundry and see the wife which will be nice. So i am looking forward to driving to Wisconsin since i havent been there before. so other than needing more backing practice i am doing a good job. took me a day or so to figure out the shifting on the 10 speed since i was used to the 13 in the freightshaker. I have it slightly figured out now and i am doing ok on my downshifting. I just need to brake lighter. But like i said i have only been driving this truck for about 2 days.

Cant wait to see where tomorrow takes me. .

 

well practiced backing today and did good. i will be ready in a week for testing. took a shower on the ohio turnpike. not a bad place for a free shower. i like Butch because he gets us a shower every day. right now i am sitting at a place in Glenwillow Ohio. bout to munch on some bbq crock pot chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. def gonna get a crock pot for my truck. well have a nice night everyone. drive safe

 

thanks J . Butch is out of hours so i am doing all the driving which i like. we are a a TA near gary indiana. i have to deliver my flooring to plano tomorrow. then its anybodys guess. i am living the dream. keep you updated tomorrow

 

well sitting in plano till 9pm waiting on our load. seems to be how they do it here. then its off to chilicothe ohio tonight. so we are just watching movies till then. i will probably take a nap later too

 

dropped load in chilicothe menards. took them 3 1/2 hours to unload us. now sitting in trenton waiting on dispatch

 

i have been out for 11 days now.it is still fun. last night i drove thru the smokies. it was really fun. right now i am at the terminal in eden north carolina doing a reset.
