Well I dont know about your specific company. But since I am a trainier for a large ltl what we do is fill out a progress report everyday with a summary of comments on things done well and things needing improvement and depending upon our evaluations determines if the student will complete on time or not we do not let anyone finish prior to the mandated training time but maybe your company is different In short I guess it depends on company policy and your trainiers notations in short I would not ever let a student go on there own after 2 weeks you really know very little at that time but it depends on your trainer

i finished with my trainer in march. and ya man you can do before 5 weeks but its kinda hard. if you run10-11 hours a day then ya you can. but remember no matter what you have to do 28 days in the truck. so 4 weeks is minimum. if you wanna do 1 week because you dont wanna be with a trainer then you really cant. i was like you I wanted to be on and off right away.

Right cause I know I can drive but I also know I will have to go with the rules. I wish I could show my trainer I can drive and they cut me loose at like 3 weeks instead of 5 but you are saying. 4 weeks is about standard so if I can do 3 I can do 4 and if I can do 4 I can do 5.
