Uh, they spray manure on fields on purpose. See there's thing thing called fertilizer. How often should one wash their hands while digging around in the middle of a field? A field with dirt in it. Since, you know, you need dirt to grow stuff. And animals? Outside? My god!

For the most part, food borne illness in the home is totally preventable. You just need to use proper preparation. For heaven sakes, don't take the produce from the grocer's shelf and prepare a salad without washing the produce first.

    COOK all meat products.

    Watch out for cross contamination.

You can't do a heck of a lot about how the food is prepared in restaurants, but you sure can make a difference in your own kitchen.

Next step to banning farmer's markets and eventually private gardens.

They've already been trying that. We're too dumb to feed ourselves now so they're going to help us.
