That’s hot shot benni. I ran across his channel before he switched to big trucks. Flipping moron is all that he is.

I highly doubt his permit took him on that road.

I would have to think there was a pole car out front - still a little aggressive on the bridge. On the turn - my rule is don’t get yourself so F’d you can’t unF yourself - always a lot cheaper to fix on the road than off the road. Plus - you only get paid if the load gets there without damage.
A wrecker would have got him around the corner - just my thought. Wrecker maybe $1000 - load maybe $100k to $1M

    pretty straightforward math problem.

you would likely be wrong - you wouldn’t believe the routes the permit offices will send you on ! And no you don’t always fit or the geometry of the corner and the obstructions don’t allow you to negotiate it. That is where experience and problem solving skills become important. I was just routed down US 421 in Kentucky 15’ wide and 15’ tall and 85’ long - it was 2 lane(10’ lanes) with no shoulders and guardrails. There were switchbacks , overhanging trees and tight turns for 28 miles - yes I was I was on route. 1 hour and 45 minutes to wiggle
    Through this section.

My front pole car had to push everyone off into driveways or wide spots for me to pass.

Heading in to Eleanore tomorrow with a wide load. Not sure if it’s the same place you loaded that 15’ wide or not though.

This Cat lizard truck was up in a little holler in Panther, WV. Close as I could get to it was about 1 1/2 miles. Customer drove it out of the gravel road holler and down the narrow paved holler to get to my rig.

It was about 10’-6” wide, and coming up the main drag with it which is a narrow 2 lane with numbers painted on the rock walls of most the curves, those numbers in the curve are a big help, well, that is if other trucks have their CB on which is few and far between now days lol….

One of our members here contacted me few months ago and I can’t remember who he was, he had an oversized load that needed to go down the WV turnpike.

With the restriction at that time on the Chuck Yeager bridge he had to be rerouted down 119 close to Madison / Danville area then turn on to route 3 going towards Raleigh and Boone county.

Decent road for a car, but an oversized load in some of the curves is like whooping a cat in a small area, difficult to do without getting hair all over you….

The bucket wasn’t blocking the road.
At the beginning of the video, it seems as if he has 2 pilot cars behind him. You never see the pole car and traffic is stopped. Good job on the front car. If you ever had a scary front car, you run into oncoming traffic at every turn.

Gotta understand, the coal mines and well pads in WV aren’t along the interstate. They are tucked in the hills. Used to be a good website with tons of pics but it’s gone. Here are some. This is just Wetzel County. IMG_0163.jpeg IMG_0164.jpeg IMG_0165.jpeg IMG_0166.jpeg IMG_0167.jpeg IMG_0168.jpeg IMG_0169.png

    good luck with that

most times there are no alternatives available from the state - especially as you get larger and taller. The good news is when you get tall and large enough then you have a route survey done in advance of the move…..hopefully they do a
    Good
    Job

    Bud A. Thanks this.
