Drives me nuts too. I hug the right side and do a little wiggle to catch a quick view behind me. Couple of construction zones on 20 that went down to single lane. Traffic was actually pretty respectful,.. I guess with something that large its natural to think about self preservation if your in a small car. No one stayed on cruise control putzing beside me either,.. LOL

Yeah it was in Tx. $9600 to just below Key Largo. I forget the name of the island.

I just looked,.. I guess someone else took it or they took it down. I dont see it posted any more.

It paid well enough for what it was. Nothing to really brag about.

I sat for a day because all I was seeing was lumber and multi-stop tarp loads or stacks of trailers going up to Co or Mt,.. places I had no desire to go. It was a last minute decision to take so I could do a nice paying reload set up for tomorrow.

    Closer to 1400.

When I believed I could do it with out any escorts it looked like a fantastic rate to me. But as usual,.. there is always a catch somewhere. The all in rate came out to something like $6.69mi. Thats before paying for pole car.

I've never paid for one so I dont know what they charge,.. but I imagine its not cheap for multiple state lines to state lines. I'm pretty much small time when it comes to over size,.. 9' - 11' width with legal height is more my game. Easier the better. Width doesnt really bother me,.. I have a pretty good spacial awareness. Height scares me.

plus rte. surveys, etc.. Would of been a losing run, so to speak..
Wonder if the boat haulers laughed at the rate or some new broker telling his buddy, I can move it for way less.
I know there are several outfits that move house boats and have the right trls. for it..

That's what I was thinking to, sounds like a broker trying to move a load cheap. I hope some boat hauler was laughing when the broker called them back.

Last year I was in St Cloud Mn a ld popped up. Basicly a short move. I call, it's a boat.. big arse boat. Guy offers 250 dollars. I say you don't have a clue do you. He's like it's easy. I go no not at 14 wide will be like almost 16 tall
That requires pole car rte survey and maybe police.. I told him 2500 and costs. He chocked and hung up

I wish I had the experience to filter out the BS like that load from something that I could actually make some money on. Instead of the trial and error method to learn that these guys are looking for someone just like me to fall into that trap.

Well, I guess if we figure out the math here...

    You said what, 1400 miles,Load paid $9600?

What's in it? I would think the Truck would have to "profit" $4-5k AFTER all expenses...
Figure that's what, a 4 day trip at Least? The Stress, aggravation, .waiting for this n that. ):

Might be worth it for the right person...I'll stick to Overweight only.
