Michigan. There is more people and more freight on this side of the country.

Werner used to have a company bus pick up drivers from Florida and drive them to the terminal in Lithia springs GA. (Atlanta) Not sure if they still do that.

Yeah, Nevada has no state income tax or taxes on food at the grocery store.

I have been working on the road for nearly three years now, with my third anniversary approaching in October. I recently met someone and have also obtained my endorsements. I am now considering a temporary relocation to a local position near Eighty Four, PA for a few years. I would prefer to retain my Florida license as I intend to return there eventually. Any advice on how to navigate this situation would be greatly appreciated. I hope you are all doing well.

A few years is not exactly temporary. Most states require you to transfer your license to your new residence withing 30 days.
    What is there to 'navigate'?

Do it right and stay happy, or roll the loaded dice and just hope for the best.
The days of beating the system are pretty much over.
With computers and now AI, most things are tracked unless you are totally off the grid. As a truck driver you are definitely on the grid.

Never forget, Big Brother is watching.

I think I understand what you're doing. Keep the Florida CDL so you don't have to pay state income taxes.
You'd have to find a company that hires in Florida and PA.

Nah, it's not really about the state income tax. It's more about the hassle of switching and then switching again when I know I'm not gonna be there more than a few years. I mean, people do it all the time for college, right? Plus, according to the Florida DMV, if I were to come back after switching my license over to a different state, I have to prove 6 months residency before I can even switch it back.
