Real companies aren't able to pay like Ghost Ryder's employer if they plan on staying in business. He's a member of a Postal Union. $1.9BILLION loss in 2nd quarter of 2013.

Okay? I guess I don't work for a real company either according to your math? Since I see that you have been a driver for 26 years, I imagine you for a real company. Would you care to tell us who you drive for? I mean, I would like to see what a real company looks like from your perspective.

Unless you are Ghost Ryder's co-worker I wasn't commenting on your job.

No I am not his co-worker. You responded to my post. You stated that "real companies" aren't able to pay those wages. I work for a "real company" and get paid those wages. I mearly asked what company you work for so I could see what a real company pays. Unless, of course, you feel that you do not work for a real company.

    Ghost Ryder Thanks this.

    Real companies??? LOL

Back in '06 the feds required a mandate that the USPS prefunds retirement pensions for the next 15-20 years. That's what hurt the PO. Then they turn around and contract everything out.

Please explain to me how FedEx Express and UPSF can pay their employees the same wages. We aren't the highest paid P&DC drivers in the industry. We remain competitive, which is the point of any union shop.

Better to pre-fund than stick taxpayers with the bill like other govt agencies. Waste is rampant at your employer. No private-sector employer can operate and over-pay their employees like yours does and stay in business. $12Billion in losses last year.

I presume a 'real company' pays 10-13/hr with no OT or any other bennies.

The USPS doesn't reserve tax payer income. Never has and never will. The USPS is also not a fortune 500 company. They are a non-profit government agency.
