So I just got this VNL 860. I’m empty with a full tank. I scaled out three times already today and I keep coming up at 12400 on my steers. Again this is a brand new truck with only 2000 miles on it and I’m truly stumped as to what and why this is happening. 5th wheel is slid all the way back truck has an apu that weighs only 242lbs but I’m still baffled to the steers. Tires are the Bridgestones that come on the truck G ply at 6175lbs steer is max at 12500.
Over weight on steers

EDIT: Nevermind, I read the whole post just now and saw your tire ratings. Sorry, my brain stopped reading it before I replied at "12400 on my steers"MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
If you have an APU you're ok just don't go over on any other axle. -

What do have for a motor?
-
are you loaded or empty or bobtail?

I'm betting once you load the wagon, you'll be under 12 if your 5th wheel is back all the way.
-
did you spec this truck(order), or did you buy it off the lot?
Check the placement of the fifth wheel on the frame, it may be attached to far forward.
