Yes I’ve hauled a few loads hear and there and I pay close attention to the permits and routing.

It’s just seems like everybody is an expert but they aren’t the ones hauling it so no skin off there back at 7pm in the scale house.

I know the hours of service rules. I think I got a good grasp on securement and I know how to wrench on my truck. Clear concise information is hard to come by for this kind of stuff it seems.

    Thanks again guys.

I'm running PA and NJ with a gross weight of 112,000 and legal dimensions. Am I required to fly "oversized" banners? I can't find it in the permits or provisions. Thanks.

I have no idea? I just read through 5 states worth of stuff for my route. I dont need banners on my route but not going to your neck of the woods.

Just started looking. So far I looked at PA.

    General Conditions

It says that all oversize loads must have banners.

    Definitions

They define oversize specifically as over dimension, and have a separate definition for overweight. So unless it says otherwise on the permit I would say no.

This is the best I can find for NJ. It says that if no escorts are required then banners shall be displayed front and back on an oversize load. Other places do seem to differentiate between oversize and overweight, so again, I'd assume that no sign would be required, but it seems to be less clear and defined. Sorry.

Illinois State will allow up to 48K on a tandem and 60K on tridem.

Wisconsin will allow 65K on tandem and 81K on a tridem.

Keep in mind those are for tandems. Your 10' spread is 2 single axles so only good for 40K(20 each) like normal.

    Illinois Toll road is

    $15.00 for OD only up to 145' L, 12' W, and 14'6" High
$35.00 for OW up to 104,000
    $150.00 for 104-120K

You can either call ahead or buy it at the first gate you run into. They will check your state permit to make sure you should be there.
