Many states are using "ALPR" systems now which stands for automatic license plate reader system.

These systems can scan and retrieve multiple license plate and carrier data in a fraction of a second and "flag" anyone that meets the criteria being looked for.

With the fancier systems, they use "FRS" technology which runs your face through a national database that also cross references you. This is a true reality these days.

It is truly crazy what is available to law enforcement today in regards to technology. Most people have no idea.

You may not have noticed that they also have license plate readers hidden under some bridges and at entrances to rest areas, that record your plate number and if it's a wanted plate, it sends a message to the cops.

Sometimes we have to pull those little blue boxes off our windshield so log books look more legitimate lol.

I disagree. If you have to fudge the books you are working too cheap. Do i like the current hos regs? Absolutely not. They are ridiculous in my mind. However i have put in the effort to learn how to make good money while following them to letter.

Yeah well your entitled to your opinion. I have a wife and 3 kids. I've been driving for 4.5 months now. I switched careers from management to driver. Got about 40k miles so far good and clean. For the most part I follow all the rules. I'm definitely a safe driver and better than some of these clowns who been out here for a few years already. You don't know me, you don't know my situation. Try working on not being judgemental when you can only see a fraction of the details. Thanks and drive safely pal.

Face recognition, license plate readers, company numbers...

Who are they looking for with all this technology?

If you ever run into me or someone I know and hurt any of us, me and a lawyer will tear your logs and cell phone data apart looking for a payday.
The times, they are a changing.
But you seem that you'll be fine

Advance transpoder caller for a weighstation just down the road. It will make a decision to pull me in or clear me to bypass. Love those things.

And hate them too. Hit one scale with that truck information recorded and time stamped, don't get in range of another scale with that outside of your logs.

I was wondering how long it was till someone pointing out that the answers given aren't the correct ones.

I assume its a plate reader or something but I don't have a good answer for what this specific one is for.
