Hopefully LSAgentOZR is going to work something out with me so I can help him move some loads every week.

I'll take some $5 pm FL intrastate if your taking requests. Or I'll settle for a Houston outbound tomorrow.

NM and AZ you can buy at the port. Cost is $40 for both (1 is $25, the other $15). Make sure you have cash as they charge a fee for a credit card.
You can run night time in Tx on the interstate, and Az, both up to 10' wide.
I have magnetic lights for the widest point on the load. Amber on the front corners, red on the rear. You can set them to flash to save battery life in those states if you wish.
Nm is Monday to Saturday travel NO OD on Sunday. Tx and Az is continuous at 10' wide or under.
99% sure your other states are 7 days, daylight only at that size, but i dont run a lot in them so double check. I can rattle off everything from the midwest to west, but thats about it off the top of my head.
I will PM you my cell in case you run into this again, as OD/OW is abouyt all I do.
I only speak from experience though, not the "book"....:biggrin_25525:

Make sure that you read all the pages of your permits very carefully. Some counties and cities have curfew's. For instance, Tarrant county, Texas has a restriction between 7-9 am and 4-6 pm M-F. I believe that Phoenix also has a restriction at certain times of the day. Unless you read those permits very carefully, you could overlook the restrictions. Sometimes, those restrictions are not on the first page of the permit, either. There can be restrictions on one load and not on the next.

    AMEN to that!
Anyone remember that 26' wide dump bed that sat at Gallup for 2 months? NMDOT would not let him unhook the power unit from the RGN. They said "poor planning on his part does not constitute an emergency on our part". How would you like to have your truck and trailer stuck at a scalehouse that has a width restriction in both directions?
I am continually amazed that in this day and (computer) age, drivers still jump in their truck with no permits and think "oh I'll just buy 'em at the ports"...
    What a waste of time.

PHX curfew is over 10'0 but the permits issued by Service AZ put the restriction on at 10'0. Get your AZ permit from central permits and you are ok.

Bit, well a lot, of a difference between a super load and a 10' load though.
Our super load permits are planned way ahead of time, and most ports wont entertain them at all. For 10' wide though, Nm and Az ports are the way top go. Call ahead if you want to make sure you are ok, but saying that buying them at the ports amazes you is a little off base in my experiences. I have yet to have a single issue buying a Nm, Az, Wy permit at a POE in all the years I have been running into those states.
