Highly suggest you go to Ohio and Pennsylvania website and print the provisions. I don't remember ever getting them with my permit.

Also,i was told by Ohio dot the county cops are also enforcement officials for CMV regs.

Rest areas are legal to pull into with permit load, they are part of the interstate.

Mind your 55mph speed limit in Ohio.
    Good luck.

    G13Tomcat and Lepton1 Thank this.

Yes, this is oil field equipment. I'm waiting to receive the PA permit and print it before heading out.

The good news is the permits and provisions arrived. After bobtail through miles of narrow 10 ton roads I finally found the fracking pad, hooked to the trailer and made it back to the Lamar TA.

It didn't feel right. I kick myself for not breaking out the tape measure at the pick up location, but I measured the width at 11'0". Called the permit company to order a new set, then it's off to find extended mirrors. No way I can see more than about 1/2 to 3/4 back on the trailer.

I amended the new permit application. The trailer is 60' long. I guess you can't trust the customer to give accurate dimensions.

Amended the permit application for over weight. The two trailer axles are 40,320 lbs and gross is 85,340 lbs.

I couldn't find any extension mirrors. Do I legally need them?

Extension mirrors. spot mirror on a piece of conduit. I use hose clamps to fasten to side hood mirrors.

I don't think you need them where you're at. Good luck.

Can someone explain to him how to safely change lanes when you can't see the rear of your trailer.

Even though they aren't necessary, I think I might try to rig something up like that before I depart tomorrow. Not sure if I will have time.
