    Thanks.

I am wanting to get into heavy haul and specialized. Talked to a few guys from ATS hauling rgn's and the other had a 13 axle trailer he was waiting for his permits. I wanted to get on here and ask for help, it being my first oversize I don't want to screw up my chances of getting more of them.

Easy cheesey, just download the pdf file I posted on a thumb drive and anywhere that does printing or copies can do it for you if you have no printer available in the truck. If you do much of this make sure to keep it handy, plenty other states have the provisions as well. Indiana will burn you like a cheep weenier for not having provisions with your permit.

I didnt realize you knew you needed them but didnt get them yet.

Many states require you to have emergency contact numbers for utility, railroad (if crossing any tracks), etc...

I usually only do superloads (16'+ wide, 17' high etc) most states call that variance loads but some states treat them all the same. Im west coast so im not familiar with Illinois and Kentucky. Call some local pilot car drivers, they are usually a wealth of information.

Good points and yep phone numbers are on every crossing box and are different for what track line you cross east of the big muddy, I was taught to throw a chain across both tracks for the short out, but jumper cables sound cool also.

Was the 13 an ATS truck?
    Wonder who that was?

Ask them real nicley to make you a copy of the provisions. They have printers in the trks...

I hear ya. I'm looking over my permits once more. Kentucky also states I can't drive through Louisville(I have to go on 264 to 64) 7-9am and 4-6pm.

But Illinois is the only one I'm missing.
