Ah heck 13'8"? You are gold but like others said watch your bridges and just be cool on slow downs and such. Do not panic and jam the breaks, just glide under them.
I have hauled up to 14'5' down I 95 with no problems. just telling you about the Sams club if you need a place to park and across the exit they have a shopping mall that trucks are always parked in and open. Don't worry you will be fine.

I have tape measure but no way of getting an accurate height of the load. I don't have a ladder
I hear ya. I have 11 months experience and a new hire that has 3 months experience has already done 7 oversize loads. Hell when I started flatbed with roehl they said our heavyhaul division was hard to get into, then 4 months later they have guys fresh from school with no experience hauling 115,000 lbs + down the road.
I do feel lucky getting an oversize. We all have to start somewhere. I really want to get into stuff like this and do it right the first time.

You can not run over height in IL from Noon Sunday to Sunrise Monday morning. In other words, you can not run in IL until 30 min prior to sunrise Monday.
Ag doesn't matter if you are over height.
I also don't think forestry would count as ag equipment.DrtyDiesel and passingthru69 Thank this. -
Oh yep that is correct, LOL I am tired.
Well if it is factory and a kitty cat machine they may get a little ticked if you let the air down any. But not like I have never done it before.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -

LOL used to have cans of either and a big grill lighter and a welders striker, people would ask is your truck hard to start, yep would all I would say.
Carried a few different jacks also. -
You are correct.
That would make sense lol
Thank you, looks like I'll just go to the Iowa 80 and do a 34. Might as well.
My buddy Lantern on here has hauled this same load, but to a different state. He told me the consignee flipped about the chain through the part that articulates.

Same here. I bought one of those 50ft hoses that latches to your emergency line. One of the best investments I've made so far. Saved my butt a lot.
When I first started that was me, I was afraid if being told I don't know what I'm doing and I need to do something else. Now I'll ask for help because not asking has gotten me into trouble. So now I like to clarify things. I'm glad I did, all of you gave been a tremendous help
