Oversized loads, items needed

Never had any issues.

 

I rarely put flags on the truck at all and pretty much always cover the front license plate with the sign. Never had an issue with either. Your mileage may vary.

 

I was going threw Georgia with a garbage compacter. I had the banner covering the plate. The dot was standing outside asked for the permit , went to the front. came back and said ''where's you tag'' in a thick southern accent, I asked him what? you tag you tag. I said under the banner I guess.

He went back and lifted the banner ,bent down and checked the number. As he was handing me the papers back I said Man you got nerve, he said why. I said bending down in front of the truck like that, he smiled and said ''driver I know I aint done nuthin to you before, get out of here,

That was awhile ago, 300hp Mack time frame,
Not a 1heavy story either.

 

The states that use your plate to look up your permit really don’t like them covered. Like Wyoming and Kentucky. Trailer plate is not as big a deal but still shouldn’t be covered.
