Oversized loads specialized stay in hotel?

I agree with everything you just said except the bed bug thing. Your proceeding from a myth that bed bugs are a sign of filth. I wish it was that simple. My sister never kept a filthy home. Still, because she did a stupid thing had an infestation.

When I travel and thankfully these days that is not very often I stay in 5-star hotels. I have health problems and a really bad back (SI Joints) problems. I also rest better because the room is quieter. Less chance of having to sit and listen to a headboard slapping the wall.

I try to stay at Embassy Suites when I can. That last time was at the Greesboro NC airport. I still kept my bags wrapped and on metal.

Bed Bugs are vile creatures that are very well noted as stowaways. I could bring them to a hotel that was normally clean and within a month that room would be crawling with them. As I said before the normal maid cleaning services WILL NOT remove them.

 

Having stayed at well over 500 hotels/motels in my lifetime, not once have I seen a bed bug in any room I've had.
First thing I do is check the mattress on getting into the room, I am OCD on cleanliness.
But never seen them.

 

Most hotels change out the bedding on a regular schedule and they treat the room and let it set over night. @GreenPete359 did nail the point about the likelyhood in relationship to cost on being exposed. The better hotels do the change outs and treatments more often. Still all it takes is one guest to infect the room. This can happen at any brand hotel.
