Colorado a 3+1 on an annual theoretically maxes out at 92,000lbs on the 4, 65,000 on the three, 27,000 on the stinger. Hard to get that much weight on the stinger, effectively 90,000 if you know what you're doing.
Closed quad, 72,000 in Colorado. Out west here we prefer more spacing between axles. With the proper spacing you can hit 200,000 gross (super load limit in CO) with a 4 axle tractor and a 3-2. Just gotta run the load further back. All about axle spacing out here.johndeere4020 Thanks this. -
Since my 4 axle truck has been down we've been doing it a lot. We've even kicked around the idea of a 45 ton tandem with a longer neck and a tandem truck with a 20,000 front. You could gross 120,000 and probably be 37 to 38,000 tare. That would be a real flexible setup, you could put 80,000 on the deck and still scale nice legal loads.
