Oversized Tarp Load under Escort

    Are they very common ?
    In my 2 years out here this was the first one I have seen
    It was on IL92 coming out of Joslin heading east and had an escort
    Caught me by surprise as I went by it going west
    I could only think that would have taken some time to tarp it
    It was on some type of lowboy
    I have seen Oversized flatbed tarped plenty of times when they overhang the sides
    But this looked twice the size of what I would called a normal tarped timber load on a flatbed

    Happens quite a bit. Quite a few big loads need tarped. Not as common as seeing load of lumber tarped but it happens

    Just look on a load today. 12 wide 17 feet long 7 feet tall. Tarp. Like others say tarp oversize all the time.
    Last OD I tarped was 10-6 tall 22 feet long 12 wide. Missile launcher and the control radar. Hauled from Seattle to Norfolk. Nice trip

    Personally I carry 3-4 24' X 28' with flaps and a 50' X 60'

    That 50'×60' has to be fun deal with! Be handy on those big loads tho.

    It's over 700 pounds of what we loving refer to as "Bertha". @saddlesore just had both of his shoulders replaced because of too many intimate dates with her.

    I don't carry many tarps. I have a 3 piece set of lumber tarps with the 8' lightweight sides and I also carry a 12 by 32 machine tarp and I have a 12 by 12 swimming pool liner I use under my tarps when needed to protect from sharps and points.
