I received an overweight citation lasy week i run quad axel truck and trailer problem was i needed a little more air pressure in my drop axle on my truck. Scale house made me pull over fix it no big deal. He issued me a citation for initially being overweight. It is what it is but I got to looking over the ticket and he has the completely wrong information for the company I drive for. My question now is can I fight it without actually going to court which is not feasible or am I stuck paying the fine?

Seems like you could escape the fine because of the information discrepancy. Best to call a trucker's attorney.

Most likely not since it’s not a moving violation. You can try calling/writing the prosecutor, but they want your $$$ so unless it’s something very wrong they will probably say see you in court.

It would depend on a few factors. Odds are likely no to escapeing the fine. But it would also depend om the state and county laws. Best best is to ask a trucking lawyer.

Go to court if the officer that wrote the ticket does not show up they might throw it out

If that ticket contains wrong or missing info they will kick it out. Go represent yourself. Or hire a attorney.

Do not allow the officer to contact you and try and change the ticket. I had one leave the city orc. Number off the ticket. He called and ask if I could come by and let him fix it. I politely told him to pound sand. I won in court.

IDK, pal, sounds like they will end up spending more on fighting it than the ticket itself. Like my mom always used to say, "just pay the 2 dollars",,
