They got caught bootlegging in Pennsylvania and are surprised that the driver got locked up? Probably didn't have a pilot car either. Now, the other truck they mentioned, on that 10 ton road...ouch!
they could of told you at the scale house.... but I was 700 lbs over in cali and it cost me 162.00 ... nothing went on my csa ... and it is not a moving violation ....
yep! all the times they got away with it and this one time cost them all the $$$ they didn't spend all the other times. I will say it again- IDIOTS!!
Ya, what cracks me up is he was 1'3" over the permitted width and acts like it was unreasonable that the permits got invalidated. I mean, a somewhat overweight I can understand as there aren't alot of scales up there, but if you are running OD you #### well better be measuring your loads and double checking your permits. That driver didn't and they quite deservedly got caught. And it wasn't the first time for that company.
Just an update for anyone who was wondering about the fine turns out it is $189.25 so it wasn't to bad
That's not bad. I just got one in OK that was 1500 dollars in fines. Of course I was about 8000 lbs over my permit and I knew it I was just being cheap and not wanting to wait for a super load approval.
