Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Well you gotta split this into two threads.
One here looking for work and one on there where you ask the technical questions about the fact that you own a truck but have not driven in 3 years.
You cant really combine these things here -
Are you looking to work under somebody else's authority? Any carrier out there should be able to ask their insurance company to quote you, if that's the case. Have you maintained your CDL and medical card in order? If so, insurance companies shouldn't have a problem insuring you. They can't tell whether you drove or not in the last 3 years. A good friend of mine took a break from driving for 20 years and now he's back in the game as an owner operator and he had no issues with the insurance when he leased on to a carrier.Neverquittrucking228 Thanks this.

I appreciate the reply I let my medical card expire for a few months but everything is back good with my cdl just wasn’t sure if insurance would cover me or did I need to go company driver before I get back into my own truck! Thanks for the info I appreciate it
