I hear now is a great time to buy a plane or cruise ship.
Practically can buy for scrap price.
Buy it leave it where it is. Collect the bail out Dems want to pass. Renege on purchase, count the profits.

No offense to any one any where. And I say this whole hearty. I wouldn't trust a driver that hasn't been out close to three years.
Unless if for farm use or something of that nature. My experience,my first 24 hours out 13 people died. I was seriously reconsidering my life long dream.
I new since I was a wee tot I was gonna be a truck driver. Truthfully i thought it was gona be a fire engine. But hey this is where I landed.
I worked for a start up company from 05 to 06. ( not cdl related all at) And I wouldn't do it again.
Your question seems to be vauge and generic almost. And I can say this honestly because some where between 6 and 8 years ago. I ask the same question to these very board members. And received almost the same response.
My interduction was well thought out. My business plan was solid. And I took the gently ribbing as a challenge. Went to peterbuilt to get a truck and prove every one wrong. Peterbuilt laffed me right out of the show room. I couldn't get a bank note for a start up company. I didn't have collateral for a big enough loan to buy a truck outright.
So it never worked out for me. From the out side looking in it was a easy plan. I was gonna dispatch my driver while working in a decent position at Eastman chemical. So I had cash to cover any hiccups and had time to take any phone calls needed.
Long storey short I asked a gray bread one day. What happens if you get stuck at a shipper or receiver. He said I get paid 75.00 a hour or ill bring you back your truck.
My second week in training. I sat in Laredo for 39 hours waiting on one pallet to cross the border. And it never came.
If I was a employer. I would have had to pay two drivers wait time 39 hours. And not even have them haul a full load back.. Sorry its long winded. But I hope you got something out of it. These are all tru and verifiable stories. To explain why I wouldn't take the risk you are thinking about. Good luck on what ever you decide.Midwest Trucker, User666, black_dog106 and 2 others Thank this. -
Go for it. What happens when your driver puts the truck in a shop 1500 miles from you, shop says you need a one box, and your driver abandons truck?
