Yes you. Are you saying that wasn't you that started the thread about "5300 weekly......."?

Yes that was me. I was saying our drivers average $5,300 revenueweekly which is true. Percentages are not being discussed though. That's what I was hoping to get a better idea of here.

To clarify we are currently offering 75-78% (as stated in the other post) revenue which I think is a little high but we have been getting quality drivers at that rate so we are happy but it made me wonder if/how much we are over paying etc.

    $3,000--$0 mine is ZERO
some get 5mpg some get 8mpg.. get it yet
my break even is not the same as others... mine is less then others some or less then me.... it's not up to YOU to set your rate based on how much I will make.... it's up to me if I will work for what you will pay

btw MY avg. per mile pay for the last 4 years is $2.19 PLUS fsc for all loaded miles and i go home when i want (every 5-30 days) and stay as long as i want (7-30 days)

If you're getting good quality drivers paying 75-78% why would you entertain the thought of cutting their pay if they're above what people tell you on the Internet? You have to pay if you want quality people. Personally I wouldn't entertain the thought of working for 75%, I'll stay where I'm at for 95%.

you think 78% is high...!! i know people getting 98%.... percentage is great BUT if the freight rate is LOW it's still cheap..... 78% of $1,000 = $780..... 50% of $2,000 = $1,000

Keep in mind, most of the published costs per mile are based on Corporate data not O/O data.

Do your loads go to Cali? If so you need to bias upward: fuel, maintenance, and truck payment costs. Cali requires newer trucks and some extra money to cover extended down time for computer issues.

Is the driver running a $10k reliable older truck with no payment or making a payment on a $50k to $150k note for a newer truck? As others have said too many variables on our end.

Are your loads light or Heavy, slick or oodles of drag?

Is the truck aero or a brick?

Let's turn this around a bit and look at it another way.

What are you offering drivers to justify your cut?
    Your trailer or the driver's?
Are you pulling the percentage before or after FSC?
Do you have a fuel discount program?
Do you have upgrade and repair programs?

Well i spent 1.20 before light gas utilities etc. Can't be too good cause I'm going into the container biz this month. 50K? I wish!! Try 13k free and clear. Its why things are changing right now.
