It tells me that you are looking at this all wrong, you are reading the bs from others who can't understand how to make money under elogs or act as if it is too restricted to properly operate.

You need to look at other things involved on the business side of this, not the trucking side, the trucking side takes care of itself once you spend time on the road.

The hard part of maintaining the business in order for it to keep afloat during the hard times but not to piss the money away during the good times.

Too many people jump into this business to make the big bucks and we never hear from them again. A lot of them are not even on forums so I would think maybe 1 out 20 are, and out of that group, not many hang around to tell about their failures.

One way I have expanded my fleet is by buying distressed companies and integrating them into my fleet. I have a pretty good track record of doing this and I could actually do this a few more times in the near future without running out of deals to look at. These are the failures I talk about, these guys are beyond repair and have no choice to get out. I only have dealt with maybe 1% of what's out there.

Interest rates are low, money is out there, and crackerjack authorities are easy to get, so yeah you can go into debt but if you can't get past the elog thing, or the other trivial issues you think you have to deal with, you won't last long.

    Jeck Thanks this.

Thank you for your feedback! I am not looking at this to survive by a paycheck. We already have another business that. I just would hate to invest 20k-30k on a used truck and not be able to make payments, insurance etc. Any profit would go into savings for a second then a third. But with no truck exp and no driving experience I want to look at the negatives and positives. I thought I maybe should start driving myself to learn as well as save money paying someone else to drive. To make sure there is enough money to make this work long term. Again any ideas would be great!
