    I was just responding to the post because I didnt want anyone to think I wasnt serious and determined. I rode 2 years with my husband and I've seen alot. I will be a new driver but I am familiar with the concerns. I didnt want YouTube videos of learning how to drive a truck. I watched videos of "trainers" training. I dont trust strangers with 6 months experience to train me. The original post was where we could sign on our truck that he could train me to do teams. I appreciate your advice. Thanks

    I would never treat any job like a vacation. I'm not a youngster. This will be a challenge. I'm 43 years old. Learning a new trade. I dont expect any of it to be a vacation. I do appreciate all the advice and suggestions. I do. I'm very grateful to reach a community as this.

    Technically you don't need to go to a CDL school for training. Your husband just needs to teach you enough to pass the CDL driving test.

    It's good to hear from people like NightWind, to help your cause. Like I say, years ago, we didn't have the luxury of this site, and it was trial and error. Cripes, I had 2 jobs in a week once. Thing is, years ago, failure wasn't such a catastrophic event, A simple middle finger, and you could be trucking for someone else the next day. Not so today, and if I can stress one thing, get a forward facing camera. I think you'll be fine, if you and the old man don't kill each other, that is.:boxing:
