It looks like you have hit bottom. You need to go to your church and ask for help. You also need to find the local Rotary Club in your home town and ask if they have a business mentoring program.

I honestly dont mean for this to come across as negative,.. but this very reason is why my first truck will be an older truck paid in cash with enough left over to cover virtually any mechanical hazard. Earning just enough to pay Peter by borrowing from Paul is no way to sustain a business. Look at the housing market as a prime example of people who took money and were for what ever reason unable to pay it back.

Sadly,.. I think you bit off more then you could chew. How ever it does not have to be the end. Hang in there and try to sacrifice what ever you can,.. but starting over is not the end. Chalk it up as a learning experience and your next go around should go better knowing first hand what can happen. This is my second go around in trucking as well. Being a company driver is not so bad. Not if you find a home that works for you. Personally I am quite content to remain at this stage,.. just that I have aspirations that go beyond being out on the road all the time.

Good luck to you and I hope things work out for you.

You don't want to be a company driver because they keep closing the doors? Quit driving for those fly-by-night mom & pops and work for a well established trucking company. You have a daughter and wife to care for. You can be a company driver until you get out of this financial mess you are in, then start over later as an 0/0. You can make over $50K as a company driver if you choose wisely plus will have good benefits and healthcare for your family that is now watching you to see where your priorities are.
