Does not sound like much of a bank. See if the bank would take interest only payments while you make payments to the shop. If shop says no payments then let truck sit, make interest payments to bank, and drive for someone else until you save up enough to pay the shop bill and go back at it. I can't believe that the bank wants the truck back nor the shop wants to be sitting on the bill. If the bank was smart they would pay the shop bill and add it to your outstanding balance on the truck. My wife works in lending and they loose their arse big time every time they get something back. She can't figure out why they do not work it out with people but banks look at as get out from under it and take what they get and try their luck on someone else. Basically the banks are just lazy and don't want to have different deals going with people so they take it in the shorts. Try your local credit union - they are more for the working rural man - at least they were when they were first established.

There's equity in the truck that's why they are being pricks. They have a chance to get out even or ahead if the repo. If they were upside down they might be willing to play ball. Their client has already shown that he has some cash flow issues. From the bank's perspective, the OP's business hasn't been able to make enough money to cover his operating expenses so why would they lend him more money?

how about asking each 1 of us nicely on TTR to pitch in a Buck or two...
every single one of us good hearted folks can mail out a dollar to a P.O. box in the OP's name............Im sure we can meet or exceed his $5,500 repair.
Good Idea?
