I'm currently leased on to a small company that can only rely on spot market loads and I'm pulling a dry van. As many of you know, the spot market is garbage at the moment. On top of that, after already considering leasing on to a bigger company for a while now, I got rear ended and being a small company there's no backup trailer so I could be down for who knows how long. I'm already on my last leg with money as it is so I'm thinking a change has to happen. I live in Oklahoma and I am willing to do dry van or reefer. I would prefer not to self dispatch, but if that's how I make money then that's what I'll have to do. Any suggestions?

No idea on van numbers but I “think” Bennett has vans for owners to use and they pay a % upfront after you are loaded and the balance usually within 1/2 hour after delivery and BOLs sent in
Bennett Heavy & Specialized
Seen that was for oversized
Try this. Same place tho

This isn't meant to be a personal attack at all so don't take it the wrong way. If you're already on your last leg with money, have thought about selling the truck before you do run out of it?

Good company? You like the people? Do they pay a percentage or per mile? -
I’ve been the about a year and a half
I’ve had no problems but as mentioned. I pull flatbed not a van so I’d assume all divisions are the same
You get some higher dollar agents and some that might be cheaper. Just take what works and leave the rest
My own trailer is 75% but I pay no cargo insurance and that rate is off a higher number than other companies
I was at the last company 8 years and at 90% but I make more per mile here as 75% of say a $4 load is still better than 90% of a $2.50 per mile and the last company took out about $0.10 per mile for cargo and a ton of other deductions
I’ll bounce a lot further than most guys as bouncing 600 miles to a $6 load going even 1200 miles still works better for me than that cheaper per mile load nearby as it’s $3 per mile for all milesrch10007, Coffey and Cobrawastaken Thank this. -
