Seriously not dissing you. Just generality. I’m happy for you. I stay away from the dysfunctional. If ya get what I mean.
I used to love working nights for same reason loving trucking. Don’t have to tolerate the idiots at work. Management blaming you for their incompetence. Etc etc etc
Worked at a factory. Night shifts always walked all over day shifts in both production and quality. Management always had to get in the way. Screw it up during the day.
I refuse to become an actor just to keep a job.

 

To me this is the best peace. I also hope this is actually put on my tombstone.

The question wasn't towards any one. Just here people complaining about trucking that's all.

 

We are truck drivers, that is what we do, complain. And there is a lot to complain about, and it is getting worse.

The entire industry sucks, starting with the equipment. There are around 8 to 10 of us leased to my carrier, 7 of us are down with major issues. I was putting mine together yesterday, replaced air compressor, power steering pump and air dryer. During assembly I lost a hose, or I should say the hose was bad. Turns out it is a very special high pressure power steering hose on the coolant system. A regular heater hose simply collapses. This hose is not readily available from the usual places. Now I have to wait until Monday for the Parker Store to open. I thought I would be loading up the truck today to go back to work. The boss is pissed.
