You are correct, i did not know he passed, and I am sorry for all your losses. Yes, i am new here.

I did not mean any anyhting rude about my post, and I was calling him an OLD MAN as a sarcastic joke, not trying to be rude. I guess it's hard to make sarcasam come across in a post, but as you will all soon find out, I am a joker and kidder. Not a d##khead, so please understand.

That might be true these days...Since the dopey looking 8" stacks and paint everything black crowd usurped the term to descibe those funny looking junkers.

But in the context that our friend southernpride was using it it pertains to something quite different.

SHC I think you did good at explaining the outlaw, ecspecially for your age. Our hearts are still heavy from the passing of Southernpride, but as one old man I'm honored to be an old man, as some will not make it this far. People like you and Dino and the other 10% of drivers will continue to make trucking a profession to be admired, while the other 90% put us down and contribute to the cookie cutter image that look like grains of sand in the dessert. Good luck and good trucking.

Thank you, I take that a big complement. I love this job, and the life-style. I was just bron in the wrong era..... but I'm trying my best to keep up the older ways and professionalism of this job the best I can.

What can I say, "I'm just carrying on a family tradition" :biggrin_25520:

It's Ironic how one will say they have a little "OUTLAW" in them usually us veteran(old school) drivers cause we been through more, then you'll get the steering wheel holders("cookie cutter image") how "outlaws" give them a bad name when they have NO idea what it really means. By there means they believe we are out there breaking every law.:biggrin_25511:

Those are the ones that believe the BS the DOT and their trainer taught them... Things like "Logs books make the roads safer"... And "If there were no log books, no one would know when they were sleepy"... Or "The CSA 2010 will get bad drivers off the road"
