You're missing something/lots of things, it's not possible to have a .74/mile operating cost... LOL

For the year 2023 my fuel came out to exactly .60/cpm for the entire year... With ALL the other expenses including wages my break even operating cost was $1.98/mile....

 

You don’t count drivers pay as a expense?

Yeah, I think you’re missing something. Fuel costs over the last couple years have been as high as .90 cents a mile with a discount card.
Not there today but I guarantee you after November it will be right back over .75 cents minimum.
That being said… I still think a guy can make a living at $2.50 all miles but you better be running hard or be a farmer the other part of the year?

I was dividing income by expenses instead of expenses by income.
