Growing up in that communist craphole they call Land of Lincoln I thought it it was just part of life to have to pay money to drive on s##### roads
Then when I was old enough to leave that S###hole, it only took me a day to realized you can drive on decent roads for free and it’s a whole different type people

I'm probably closing shop in a few months. It really depends on how much I can make between now and then. I've got another business idea I'm considering but I want a another 20 30 grand in capital before I pull the trigger. Tired of the unending government regulation changes, taxes, fees, insurance, etc all going up. Nearly six years in now and it was my first business so I'm hoping for a little less of a learning curve on my next venture.

Then again I might keep trucking. I guess time will tell.

I grew up in the San Antonio area then Las Vegas. Both had amazing taco shops where you could get breakfast burritos the size of your forearm for a reasonable price. I'm looking into opening a similar place in my area. Going to be a Mom and Pop shop targeting guys going into work for morning shift and lunch. Small menu of items that overlap to keep food costs down as much as possible. I want to pay for everything cash with a big reserve.
It sounds a little ridiculous but I'm actually thinking about getting a job at one of the places I used to like and working there a few months before quitting and basically stealing their business model with tweaks for what I want to do.

Lily | OC Food + Things to Do in Orange County on Instagram: "5 pound brisket bbq burrito. @danielsbackyardbbq is always down to mess around with my wild food dreams, and today was no different - we made a burrito that weighs over 5 pounds. 3636 Santa Fe Ave, Long Beach, CA 90810 I’ve long loved the brisket from here, and long loved the fact that they make crazy creations if you’re up for it. They already did a two tortilla burrito, so I thought, why not go for three. The meat alone in the burrito weighs over 3 pounds. We’ve got pulled pork, TONS of brisket, and three sausages. Add mac and cheese, sauce, and pickles. I couldn’t believe they managed to wrap it all up, but they did. This is a pop up, so make sure to check their Instagram for hours - they can vary from what the actual website says. And if youre lucky, you’ll come on a day when they’re doing beef ribs. Would you eat this? . . #foodreel #losangeles #longbeach #bbq #woah #pitmaster #brisket #feedfeed #foodbeast #eater #munchies #wheretoeat #lbc #lafood"

    sounds legit

Anything to do with served food is way more regulated than trucking, just saying, also after Covid anything to do with food is the last thing I would want to do, the gov't around here shut that stuff down, and most around here haven't recovered, it also taught people that they can make their own food and save money, so they have a lot less customers than usual

Well shoot, lost my new o/o. Engine blew on him on his maiden voyage. Feel bad for the kid, had a bad rebuild. Welp, I guess it’s just me again.
