Nope,.. I dont ever want 100+ trucks. I have 2 trucks now and I cant wait till my driver spreads his wings and takes everything I have taught him and soars to the top. I want to go back to just me. I just want to be a 1 man CEO. I know how to make money in this business.

Is that because Amazon will refuse to increase the rate by .15 per mile to cover the extra fuel cost?
When fuel goes up I just charge a bit more. Why is $4/gallon some perceived ceiling?

And there is more of the stupidity breeding stupidity that I was talking about.

It wasnt but just a few years ago that fuel was well over $4 a gal and we made it through that.

$4+ gal fuel is coming again,.. and diesel trucks will still be burning it.

Because I am sitting at home relaxing. I've been home for almost 3 weeks now, enjoying the fruits of my labor.

I can afford to take time off when I want.

I made lots of money when back fuel was 4 bucks. A ton of drivers went to the oil fields and it resulted in a shortage for my sector. The money made has more to do with the demand for trucks and the relationships you build rather than the cost of moving it and always surfing the board never building steady business relationships.

My perception is that I see people using the loadboards like a Burger King Menu,.. order a load and never think twice unless something got screwed in the drive thru. Take the highest grossing load with out a single thought given about where its going and where the next load will come from.

They treat it like a disposable resource instead of investing the time and creativity to build a residual income.
