I have a question for you. A serious question. If you answer it correctly I will give you the contact information.
Go to page 2 of this thread and read post # 17. Do you have a way to make a profit at the rates listed?Ruthless Thanks this. -
Teach me your ways o wise one. 1 day I will O/O but I'm waiting for the right time to jump in and I feel like with and impending crash in the foreseeable future now is not the time
-
I would say your thinking is correct.. consider how many new units are on order. When the suppl6 meets the demand rates will stabilize. I think we're getting close now. When it slows down there will be a glut of trucks for sale again. If you have the cash reserves you can probably score a better deal if you hold out a little longer. Plenty of people jumping in, and to me I think we are at or have passed the peak of the cycle.Badmon Thanks this.

Okay, reading the rates posted.
For me personally, I dont see myself making a profit from sending my drivers a maximum of 278 miles.
My family has 9 trucks with drivers, no drivers going to drive 50ish/c per mile at that many miles.
I've just started a brokerage and am looking to haul long lanes, I've heard amazon has great rates.
To answer your serious question, Yes If I was an owner operator and the deliver and pickup times was good. Yes, I can make a profit off a lot of the loads on that list.
Please save me some time and direct me in the right direction -
How do you figure you could make a profit if you were an owner operator (driving yourself) but could not if you had to pay someone to do the exact same load?
Notice as the miles increase, the rate per mile decreases. Does your driver accept a diminishing rate per mile the more miles you assign him? Would you?Ruthless, JonJon78 and spyder7723 Thank this. -
It might be one argument if you could hammer off these loads in rapid succession. It is not the case. I suggest you do more reading about Amazon around this forum (start with this thread) and hear how a typical day goes when you decide to partner up with Amazon...
Ps. I don't have the contact info. -
If it's your own truck sure profit can be made, no driver will work with us for more than a week if we send them short distances. where they arent making much.
I've had to accept diminishing returns, because drivers want long hauls. I dont have a choice. Thats why Im looking to find better rates for long haul -
You won't find any profitable work hauling for Amazon.
I have to unsubscribe from this one. This is depressing.Brettj3876, Ruthless, BoostedTeg and 2 others Thank this.
