A couple of comments on Amazon hauling.
    1. The parking Nazi's are the real deal, I've never run Ca., but I bet they could give them a run for their money. Few months back, we spotted 6 empty Xtra Lease trailers at the facility in Denver, they yelled at us to shut our trucks off while dropping. We ignored them.
    2. Occasionally I do Amazon Flex deliveries, that's DC to home delivery. Depending on the Denver area warehouse, pay can vary from starvation to hey I might make some money.
The first Flex delivery I did, using my pickup, had 57 packages between 48 addresses, paid $55, was blocked (they call them blocks) at 2 hrs 45 minutes, that included loading time. I did it in two hours, from load to unload, including driving 20 minutes to my delivery area. The saving grace to it, my first 18 packages were all envelopes, and all in an apartment complex.

The second block I did, a few weeks later, 130 packages, between 88 addresses, it paid $65 for a 3.5 hr block. Now, that sounds like a good deal. However, they screwed the pooch royally. The first part was 37 packages, 20 addresses, then I had to drive 18 minutes to deliver 57 packages to 35 addresses, now I had to drive back to the original area to finish the delivery. I had someplace to be. I called Amazon, they had me return the remainder to the DC, then call them when done. They adjusted my pay for one extra hour of time, the total paid out was $78 for 4.5 hrs. I drove 75 miles, burned 1/4 tank of gas. The only upside to it, you get a lot of exercise. A friends son has been doing it all summer while home from college, he's dropped 38 lbs doing two or 3 blocks per day, some days he's cleaning up, other days, not so much.

I wonder how that compares with ups package handlers in a company vehicle with uniform and benefits.

When I was able to cash out and retire to move back to Florida I was making$37.64/hr in a package car at ups with company paid healthcare lol. I don't know how it better why these guys do this Amazon stuff, if I ran packages in my suburban let's say....I would lose money.

This was two years ago so top rate it probably close to $40 now.

That sounds about right given the average raises and time since I've been there.
