It really dont matter who decide to go with,as long as your happy, but the more info you get from talking to folks will help educate you,you will find O/O's that will talk to you in truck stops. there is a lot negativity out there so you kinda gotta piece togther all the info to how it helps you the best.hope this helps you out some, and wish you luck.

So my weekly payments should be insurance, truck payment, fuel, tolls, and money into my maintenance acct. and yearly would be heavy duty tax or is there more than that? I will lease onto someone

thats about all of it,unless they charge you a trailer rent which i dont think schnieder does that. the only other thing to check on with them is base plates and IFTA. both important to know

the base plates and IFTA, you want to know if they pay for you or if they pay and charge back to you.there is a difference.

the plates on truck, like a car but we call the registration a cab card. companies will usually deduct your base plates from your settlement over a few months time.some companies will just pay your IFTA taxes and some will pay and deduct out of your settlement.Like Mercer for instance, pays for IFTA taxes and DOES NOT charge you the taxes amount they just pay it,so basiclly means you dont pay the IFTA part.just your base plates

Ok so since I was a wounded veteran I called today to see how much and they said 16 to register it and get my plate. So ifta would be my other concern?

yes, paid qaurterly,on miles traveled per state.it's confusing with IFTA cause you feul bought per state miles ran loaded and empty per state. but most companies will figure that out for you and pay it,then deduct from your settlement. it's just another thing to be sure and ask how they work that part with their O/O's.
