    Hi guys,
So I have a friend out in washington looking into getting a second truck to go out to North Dekota to the oil fields and just would like to get him some more information.

He has some question for the guys out there
    1. Should he get a truck with a wet kit?
    2. Does he need a trailer?
    3. What kind of a trailer based on the work out there?
    4. What companies work out there with owner operators?
    5. can you go out there and work under your own athority?
He has a 2007 volvo I think pulling containers at the moment, but he would like to buy something else and go out there.

Get a winch tractor with a scissorneck (tridem) trailer and get paid decent money for the hours you work.

Up this way in the area of $230. an hour and WY, CO I was told is about $160. an hour. It's not too hard to pick up an extra hour or two a day over and above actual hours worked if you get along with the engineer.

What kind of a trailer does this require? is it a belly dump?

Lmao. No it's not a bellydump. It's a winch tractor and a trailer with a tail roll and if you don't know what it is you have no business being in one. Besides a decent rigged truck runs around 160000 dollars and a decent trailer is around 85000. Once again though there is way more to winch trucking than just driving. If he really wants to go to ND tell him to wait as there are alot of trucks sitting right now.
